A couple of days after finishing up my classes, the grade reports started coming in. I ended up with an A in Media Ethics, a B in Advanced Grammar and Composition, another B in Multimedia Production, and a C in Advanced TV Production. I really don’t think that a C is representative of the quality of work I did in TV production. My favorite project from that class was a commercial I did to advertise the university. Something tells me that they won’t be using this any time soon. Here it is for everyone to enjoy.
I’m hoping to get my essays back from Advanced Grammar and Composition soon so I can see what the professor thought about my “finished product.”
I will be gone of the summer so if anyone is up for keeping up the site (aka paying for hosting) for the summer let me know. This may be the last post (gasp). Not that it eve caught on anyway.
In closing listen to the new Fall of Troy, please.
So, as of Tuesday (5/1/07) I’m done with college classes. I took my Multimedia Production final at 9 in the morning and that was it. I still have to do my internship before I get my degree but the classwork is over. I don’t think I’ve completely processed that yet. It feels a bit strange to be honest. I’m hoping that I get to do my internship at 96.7 The Buzzard in Greenville. My friend JJ tells me that they use interns a lot. I’ve never done anything related to radio so I’m interested in seeing how that whole thing works.
Anderson University took home the its second big piece of hardware this year when the CVAC announced that Anderson had won the Hawn Cup! Anderson is the first South Carolina school to win the Hawn Cup–thanks Peeler.
So i found this video on YouTube–it was made in 1990 and its a newscast about the Internet, still a mystery to many, maybe not even heard of by some at this point. It was interesting to see where we were in 1990 (Before Yoshi, and while the Soviet Union was still in place) and where we are now (mp3 players, iPhones, TiVo). I remember thinking back in the early 90s (early elementary school) that in the year 2000 we would have flying cars like on the Jetsons–I’m just saying, i think the Internet is much cooler.
So school is over, and thanks to all of you who read my blog and commented!! I’m going to try to keep up with it, although I think the topic will be different….I will still talk talk about this issue some, but probably not all the time, because really there is only so much you can say.
