United Airlines, the number 2 US airline, signed a 5 year contract with Coke. This means they will primarily serve coke products on their flights as well as well as  in  their lounges in airports. Guess I know which airline I want to fly with next time. :) Check out the article.

Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz scored an impressive eighth round stoppage of Acelino “Popo” Frietas on Saturday night at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino. Diaz battered Frietas thoughout the fight and the Brazilian refused to answer the bell for the ninth round. With the win, Diaz adds Frietas’ WBO lightweight title to his own WBA title to become unified champion of the weightclass. Full report and gallery at fightnews.com .

so here is a brief history of Christian rock/ a list of bands that are crossover or otherwise controversial. I have to say: DC TALK ROCKS MY WORLD!! My parent’s used to play them while we would clean the house on saturday mornings in the 6 disc changer along with Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Boston, The Eagles, and of course, Journey. good times, good times.

The upstate is home to many concerts every year. Many of us don’t realize, but we have the privilege to see many of today’s best concerts. It may be Kenny Chesney, Hank Williams Jr., John Mayer, or some other show. One of my fondest memories though, was a recent Travis Tritt concert last May at Freedom Weekend Aloft in Anderson. Tritt played every hit you can remember from his prestigous country career. Just to show that you can always find a great show here in good ol’ South Carolina.

Wow, this is yet another post that is not music in South Carolina. But I promise this is worth your time. This guy is amazingly playing the Super Mario theme song on two different guitars at the same time using a tap method. I watch in awe every time.

Ok so in a lot of our posts we tell you that a show will be taking place at The Bi-lo Center. I’m just going to take this opportunity to let you know a little bit about the Bi-lo Center. Before it came along we had the Greenville Memorial Auditorium. In the late 90s Greenville introduced the community to the Bi-lo Center. The Arena has hosted everything from hockey games, to NBA D-league basketball and exhibition games (one featuring THE Michael Jordan), arena football, circuses, and of course, concerts. The entertainment industry has consistently recognized the Bi-lo Center as one of the top 50 venues in the world.
