“I Choose DII”–Balance

The NCAA came out with a new marketing campaign for Division II Athletics. The campaign is called “I choose DII.” The campaign revolves around DII being the division of balance. That students athletics in DII schools balance atheltics and academics. There is a medium where the student-athletes compete in intercollegiate sports and in the classroom just as hard. They say DI is the division of excess–either athletics or academics–and the DIII is comprised more in the direction of education, but DII athletes are in the middle. This news paper article written in Anderson Independent Mail newspaper focus on that topic and more specifically how Anderson displays that “I choose DII” model.
Being an Anderson student-athlete, I am glad to see the Athletic Department and its athletes getting some credit. The administration is round on its athletes and this article really portrays a successful Athletic Department in the classroom and in competition.
